Greene's Books & Beans was established in 1996. Owners Nancy Greene and Pat McElreath, looking for challenge and fulfillment, combined their skills and their vision to create the shop. Greene's is known for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere with owners and staff who are knowledgeable and passionate about their work.

Pat's degree in literature as well as her many years of bookselling experience offer customers a frame of reference which is second to none. Nancy's business background keeps the shop on course while her skills as a lover of people and as a healing practitioner set its tone.

The store offers books, jewelry, greeting cards and an ever changing selection of gifts as well as a coffee bar specializing in organic coffees and teas. Monthly shows featuring local artists are ever-popular events.
